Here is my final selection. I think.  I picked out a couple more darks, took away one medium, and added another light.  So I have 5 of each.

While I was at the LQS, I found a book.  Jaynette Huff's Stash Magic.  I need something to do with all my scraps and this will certainly help.  Lots of beautiful ideas for all those odd and ends if fabric.  I feel the grip of 'control' slowly ebbing away.

Love your colours Patti.

I have to learn to let the scrappy bug take me over because I don't throw out my scraps.

LOL. I don't toss my scraps either. So just what do control freaks do with scraps? Looking for that scrappy bug with you.

Patti, even I could see the values in this combo.  Great job!  I'm still trying.  Maybe Kris and Diane could help me out Saturday?????

Great choice Patti~well defined lts, meds, and darks. I don't have a huge stash of scraps b/c I used to throw them out. Then I started saving a few years ago so I have a bin of them. I need to lumberyard  them. I like this scrapping stuff! Tomorrow is supposed to be a little cooler so I'll turn the a/c on in the sunroom and look through my fabric stash for the new project. If I don't have enough that'll be my goal on our adventure on Sat. I've hardly ever gone to QS.....this is going to be so much fun. Can you wear a hole through a charge card???????

Diane

I am not sure about wearing a hole but you sure can swipe so much that the strip wears out.......    Have fun on your QS adventure.   I just know you ladies are going to have a blast and rub and fondle some fabrics for me....

Here are the fabrics I think I'm using. It took awhile for me to get to this point. I have 6 of each value because some of the pieces aren't WoF, so I might need some extra. My DH likes them, so what does everyone else think?

I like your fabrics Sabrina. The yellow one on the end looks more like a medium next to the other lights.

Patti and Sabrina - I like your color choices.

For those discussing what to do with scraps - have you ever tried string quilts?  I've created some blocks with 2", 1 1/2", 1", 3/4" and even 1/2" strips cut up from leftover pieces.  They were really fun to sew up.  There's a great example - Porch Swing Quilt I believe the name is - in the show-n-tell area (with apolgies to the maker from not remembering her name at the moment).

I really need to learn how to work my digital camera so I could post some pictures.

Sabrina

Your fabrics look good.  The yellow on the end is slightly more to the medium but it will be fine.

The yellow on the end is slightly more to the medium.

I thought that too, but I may not need it since I picked out extra in case some of my pieces were too small. I'll have to wait and see how it goes when I start cutting. Thanks everyone for the input.
