Snowbird Quilter:Here is my latest Lumberyard quilt. This border really tested my skills.
Beautiful, Patty, and your border turned out great! Fun to see this discussion resurrected after nearly three years. Now the newbies can read all about it while "meeting" some of our earlier club members.

Your quilt is beautiful. I am glad that this thread has been brought forward. I tried to do basic explaination on cutting scraps for someone today and was entirely too lazy to go looking for the thread/..LOL

Pretty quilt Patty Mc.
I love the way the pattern is extended into the border.
Patti Mc, your quilt is very pretty. The border might have tested your skills but I'd give you an A+.
Really like your lumberyard quilt, Patty. The border is very intriquing. I love it . I think it would give me fits too. Ginny
Love it! You pass at the head of the class
That's a great quilt Patty, definitely worth the stretch for the border, it really finishes the quilt beautifully.
Patty Mac, love your Lumberyard quilt.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
Thank you everyone. MNNancy, Kris, Michelle B, Ginny and Elizabeth.
Nana: This isn't a lazy bone in your body. Story Teller!
Frances: I see where you are full of mischief. Enjoy this thread.
Pat; You would have laughed. I'd lay out the strip, pin the pinwheel and go to the machine and sew it wrong. I wore out my seam ripper and destroyed a lot of fabric.
Jacy: thanks, but I can't take credit for the design. the "Lumberyard Girls" come up with it. They are pretty cleaver with graph paper and 2 X 4's or 2 X 2's or in this case 2 X 8's. Plus the seam allowance.
