qcarachel:
I have some very exciting news-I'm going to be an aunt!!

Wonderful! My daughter figures being an aunt is the best of all worlds and for 21 years she has spoiled her niece rotten. Of course, I think being a grandma trumps everything. LOL

In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

Rachel- or I should say "Aunt Rachel"-  that is so exciting!  Do we see lots of baby quilts in the future?

Thank you ladies! I couldn't be more excited to be an aunt and to spoil my niece or nephew rotten! Naturally my parents are over the moon to be grandparents-they think it's the best job in the world! I plan on making a baby quilt-and QCA will be with me every step of the way to finish it!

Marie, I like your layout. Love the fabrics. I have a lot of Hawaii fabric that I need to figure out , too. They are all big florals that I don't want to cut up.

congratulations, Rachel. You will love being an aunt.

Finally seen my daughter and her husband, I was so releived after their water crises they were ok!

Then went out with DH to a antique store and picked up a singer 99k I got confused by the size thought it was the featherweight.  The bottom case is a wreck but a little oil and the machine sewed great .  Don't know much about the history of the 99k but here is a picture.

Very nice machine, ls!  I Googled "Singer 99k"  and found a little info:  http://www.singersewinginfo.co.uk/99k/.  That's about the machine.

This is how to determine the year based on the serial number:  http://www.singerco.com/support/machine-serial-numbers
