Hi there! Yes, I am a newbie, too. From central Indiana. I have recently retired, after 36.5 years in Corporate America. I got the quilting "bug" when a friend invited me to attend a quilters retreat just for 'kicks' a couple of months ago.
I've made two quilts so far and have material lined up for 4 more waiting in the wings. I've really become attached to Jelly Rolls and Charm packs! I really don't care for cutting or postage stamp sized pieces - ugh!
I have a 2.5 yr old granddaughter, who is the light of my life, and another granddaughter on the way in a few months. Looking forward to spoiling another beauty!
Happy to make your acquaintance!
Hi and welcome ceegee57! Now after all those years in CA you get to relax and enjoy your new passion. Congrats on your granddaughter and the one on the way. What fun it will be to make a baby quilt.
I have a great grandson who is 1 and is the light of my life. Wish I could've been a grandmother and great grandmother before the children came. LOL They're such a blessing.

Welcome CeeGee. I ditto Candis fabric is an very very good addiction.
HI ceegee, I too have a love of charms, layer cakes, jelly rolls. I told my DD2 the names and she said the person that gave them those names much really like sweets.
