I would so rather be talking about anything quilting but when everyother message that has been left on the board is about something on site not functioning the way we've grown a custom over the years what can be expected but more conversation on the subject. Everyone just wants it to work right. Ok I guess i'm not helping the situation any . I'm going to try to just talk quilting here and maybe everything will work itself out.

Hang in there! As someone you used to work I.T., I know only too well how long it can take to correct problems that are inherited by previous 'owners'. It will all work itself out eventually. On the plus side, I got the machine sewing of the binding done on my king quilt today. Only the hand sewing left - yahoo!
Sheyenne, the site problems are one thing and I can half believe that something, some day will be done about them. HOWEVER there are other problems with QCA that do not depend on the internet that are also not getting resolved. What is being done about CUSTOMER SERVICE? I am still seeing complaints about that.
I was finally able to get onto QCA...first time in WEEKS! Strange really as my access today was via an email from "QCA Team" which took me to my QCA Blog-post. Even stranger since I have my set up for non-email notificaiton.
I have tried twice to post a copy of the email here, but I get a pending moderator approval message every time.
So, be on the lookout for weird looking emails with links to your QCA blogs!!!

Be aware of spammers sending who-knows-what using email addresses that look like someone we know. Anything that doesn't make sense should be deleted immediately. It's not worth contaminating your computer or anyone else's. My spam filter at work collects messages that I supposedly sent myself with topics ranging from cheap Viagra to mail-order women from Ukraine - and I work for a Catholic diocese!
I'm sorry that everyone is having so much difficulty getting online - but please keep in mind that browsers make all the difference in the world. I primarily use Google Chrome as a browser and have few problems. Sometimes the site "can't be found" - I just wait a bit and it comes up a little later. My computers (work and home) have multiple browsers as some work better with some sites. (Firefox and Internet Explorer are my other options.)
I am not a computer expert by any means but I have learned that sites slow down and occasionally crash because of the number of users. Perhaps the overall quality of the QCA experience is drawing so many people that we are the reason there are problems. With the overhaul of the website and the other things they are trying to do for us, these problems should clear up.
In the meantime, I'm going to be patient and remember that when I can't get on QCA maybe I'm being told I need to go do the dishes, take a walk, or work on that UFO that is staring at me :).

Sheyenne & ladies, I too love the QCA site. So I keep trying to get on and when I can I read and chat. Waiting for things to improve and it does sound like the site is being worked on. I miss some of the quilters on here.
