Hello I'm currently working on a basic baby quilt made with pink/lime/white squares. Now the baby I'm making this for has a butterfly theme room. Is it possible to cut out butterflies and sew them onto some of the squares or is their a special way to do it?

Hi Mary  Yes, you can apply butterflies to the quilt top you are working on.  You could put together some appliques.  You could cut out butterflies from another fabric  to applique and/or you could include butterflies in the quilting you use to finish the quilt.  The appliques could be hand appliqued or applied with the satin stitch or a decorative stitch using your sewing machine.  Send us a picture when you have your baby quilt finished.
