MNnancy:

Linda, so the 22-year-old now knows there's no hope of being a "boomerang" kid, heh?  Good planning!

Too funny - I had a 3,000 sq ft home with 5 bedrooms. I sold t so my son and his wife would move out. I now live in an 1,800 sq ft home so no one comes home. When my DS comes home from Thailand he will share with my sewing room/office. It is sooooo nice have your own sewing room.

Nice sewing room Frances.  I really like having the sewing machine in front of the window.

Bonita:

Frances, love how bright your room is Good luck with your frame.

Maybe you can help me with my frame. I have one just like it and have only used it once. I loaded it just as the instructions said to and I tied it as I rolled it along.  all went well until I got to the end and the backing was about 6 inches short and the batting was about 3 inches to short. When it went on the frame both were bigger on all sides than the top.. What did I do wrong? I got mine for the same reason, can't get on the floor even if I had a big enough space.

Bonita,

Im not the one to ask, i havent used mine yet but ask Kris, she uses one.

lots of love

Francesxx

PS Grace quilting frame company has a video on there site that you can watch on how to do it.

Thank you everyone for all your kind words, The bit i really wanted was my sewing machine in front of the big table so that if i did quilt by machine i would have plenty of space to move the quilt around.

lots of love

Frances, Your sewing room looks great to me. My room is long but very narrow. Good luck with your quilting frame.

Me, too, Weezee!  We should exchange pictures for ideas on how to arrange such a space.
