Hi to all!
I'm a beginner in that I have just started my first quilt. I thought turning 60 deserved a new learning experience! I've been sewing all my life, but my quilting experience has been in helping out my Mom. I'm hoping that I have learned more than I realize. Mom is still quilting at 81, so I still have a chance to learn from her.
Welcome Teresa! I'm glad you found us. You didn't say if you will be doing hand or machine quilting. I am machine all the way! Looking forward to getting you know you better!

Hi Teresa, welcome to the group.

I'm machine mostly. I have done some crazy quilting & taught hand embroidery. I also have an embroidery machine and want to use that as well. I'm open to learning about lots of new things. I'll need to keep sane when my husband retires next year!
Hi Teresa, Welcome to the group.
Hi Teresa, welcome to the group. Where do you live? I'm always looking for quilting buddies and hope one day to find one in Northwestern Nevada, around the Reno area. You'll love this group, though, no matter where you live.
I live in Naperville, Illinois, about a half an hour drive from Chicago. I also spend time in Edwardsburg, Michigan with my quilting Mom.
Thanks for all the "Welcome" greetings!
Welcome to the gang, Teresa. It's nice you still have mom to quilt with, enjoy.
Welcome TeresaB-10 - You will love it here. I have learned so much from all of these wonderful people. Can't wait to see your first quilt.

Teresa welcome to the site. Hope you enjoy your time with us.
Welcome TeresaB-10 - my guess is that you will do just fine with quilting.. You will find loads of support and help here.
A quilt will warm the heart.
Welcome, Teresa! Like you - I am 60 and new to quilting. I live about 30 miles north of Milwaukee. Just joined the Mystery Quilt 9 group on this site. Looks like it will be fun and a way to learn from other more experienced quilters. Have fun and enjoy creating all the beautiful quilts within you that are just waiting to be born.

Thanks Linda! Don't think I'm up to a Mystery quilt just yet! I'll just be happy to get quilt #1 completed - 4 block made & only one is a mess.
Love that - quilts just waiting to be born - but, oh the labor pains!
