My name is Linda and I started quilting almost one yr ago. I met a wonderful lady named Joanne who was well into her 80`s and made marvelous quilts. She told me that she didn't start until in her 60's and I thought - if she can do it - so can I! I went to Quilt Expo last September with my sister and went to a quilt retreat with her at the end of that month. Well - I am thoroughly hooked! -i only have a $75 Brother sewing machine but am working on a king-sized quilt-as-you-go quilt and loving it! So glad to have joined this wonderful site! Learned many great things on YouTube but expect to learn tons more here.

HI Linda, welcome
Hi Linda! My story, like yours and others, is of finding this addictive hobby upon retirement. You will learn "tons" here, especially if you are not afraid to post questions. There are many talented quilters on QCA who love to share their tips and tricks. My tip for you - be careful to not get too addicted to this site. You can eat up hours online in a hurry and that means less time quilting! LOL Welcome to the club!
