Tami

I love what you did with MQ8.  That border is amazing.

Yes, you managed to add a good amount of size to the original.  Well done!

well thank you Nancy. my son is like 6'4 so you can see the problem with the size. I would have had it done early but hurt my arm so to speak. there are two 6" blocks that I did last to fill in that I wasnt happy with but I was limited on blue material. they just dont work but dont stand out that much

I would like to try the mystery quilt. Where can I find the fabric requirements and instructions?

thanks Carolyn. I think I have him trained to take care of them. a few years ago I busted him trying to take one of his others to "ruff" camping. as in no tents, shelter or anything... so should be good lol

Tami Paul:

Sybil, I just finished up MQ8 yesterday. well except putting on the name tag, which is optional. here is a pic of it " road to the teddy bear clan"

Wow, Tami, what an incredible job of piecing. So beautiful.  And to dream up that awesome border. Love it!

thanks Deb. when MQ was revealed. I thought it looked kind of celtic, which made me think of clan. And I had this "adult" teddy bear material that I had wanted to use in a quilt for my son. so bear claws were a must. the middle of the side ( it is being held on its side) was created because I ended up with a space in the middle that was 9 3/4" for some reason. I had thought about making the claws go in a circle around the quilt but I had added the row on the top and bottom to get some height ( son is tall). so it looked better that way. So, dont know how creative it was vs just making it work haha
