Beautiful quilts.  I love the broken star.

Is that the blue, green and white star?  I didn't know the name, but I too love this!  The white meandering through the star really is stunning...it just glows!!!

Thanks Lesley for adding these quilts that Frances wasn't able to see.  They are just beautiful!

I love a good quilt show!  Thank you, ladies!  There's one in San Antonio next weekend that won't compare to the one you've been to.  It'll be fun and inspiring none-the-less!  And my feet won't hurt as much as at the big shows!  :)

Dawn I know what you mean however when you get up real close there are crooked seams and sometimes points not matching , I commented to my friend yesterday that maybe I myself try too hard for perfection ( not that I ever get to that point!) and I need to realise that I am only human!!

I know, but I have a hard time even starting a quilt, knowing it won't be what I want it to be.  My DH tells me to just do it!!!   So does my DD.  I have been trying more things and making myself keep at it.  I know I can do it, but . . .  :-)  Thanks Lesley!

I just read something on another site where a quilter was disappointed that her stitches were a little zigzag.  Another quilter replied, "Most people do not look that closely at (stitches and points). Remember, if it looks good while riding by on a galloping horse it is just fine!"  I think I might make something to hang on my sewing room wall that says that!

On one of her shows Eleanor Burns was commenting on mistakes in quilts and she said to "hang 'em high and keep 'em moving".  I like the galloping horse bit the best.  I think we're all our own worse critics.

Ooh, I like that saying, I might have to make something like that for my sewing room wall, too.

Carol I love that saying. Another one I have heard that is attributed to The Amish is that only God is perfect!
