I am new to this. I live in upstate NY close to Niagara Falls. I have been quilting for about 35years , my favorite being applique. I was taught by a wonderful friend and expert quilter by the name of Arlene Lane. I am a nurse, retired, well kinda working 3 days week. I am previously from No. Idaho, Gods country.
Good morning and welcome to the gang, idahonanny! Nice to have you join us, enjoy!
Hi! I wondered how Idahonanny could be from NY. Visited my in-laws in New York, near Ithica last September. Such a beautiful area. Love all the waterfalls. But not the traffic.
We have another quilter from Idaho who has taught many of us how to applique. Gini. She is sure to add a note here. Another two I have met at retreats are Jacy and Spud. Don't forget to check out the groups. There is one for applique.
Glad you have joined us.
Arlene is a wonderful instructor. And her quilts are incredible. She used to be a nurse too,I think.

Wow! I live in Western, NY. THe outskirts of Falconer, NY. So you are a coupe of hours away. I also love quilting! Welcome!
Welcome Idahonanny, You will have a wonderful time here. People are great and you will make a lot of friends. I know I have and I even tho I thought I was quite the experienced quilter (I have been quilting for several years) I have really learned alot from these wonderful women!. Welcome!!!
Welcome Idahonanny :)
Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm not sure where Falconer is. Do you have any good quilt shops near you. I have one close and joined the block of the month, an applique quilt, one I can do at home as my husband is disabled with Parkinson's and Dementia. I know I will enjoy the groups here.
