Hi,

I am new to quilting and to this group.  I am a jewelry designer and make bead jewelry and bead related gifts.  I started a to make a quilt yesterday to my new grand son and found this group.  Quilting always looked very difficult for me.  i see lot of beautiful quilts.  I am making a very simple one and hope to make more in the future.

Simple is the way to start.  You don't want to get disappointed with a difficult pattern.  Enjoy yourself and ask away if you need help or suggestions.  We enjoy sharing our love of quilting.

Welcome bhanu,

Where in California are you from? I'm in northern California in the Sierra's. You will love it here. Hope to see a picture of your first quilt.

Welcome.  I hope you have fun with your first quilt.  And with a little experience you will find that most of those quilts that look really difficult are just simple blocks all sewn together.

Debbi, I grew up in Sacramento and lived in Elk Grove until well into my 50's.  I live just east of Reno now.
