I have a whole basket of single socks.... and no roomba to blaim!

I wonder...If Roomba eats a sock , does it also desire the partner, or was just one enough??

It is not an absolute solution but many, many years ago I looked at ways to streamline laundry and the eventual sorting. I bought socks and underwear in bulk, all the same but in different colors for each person. If you buy six pairs of socks all identical you are now playing with 12 rather than 2 socks so it takes much longer before you have that odd ball sock leftover whether through wearing out or someone eating it.

I do that with my gym socks. A dozen pairs and no waiting to match.

I've do  that, but the boys still manage to loose half of them within 2 weeks.  They're very talented that way...

Well, we've got sleet and snow going thru OK today.  Library and church all closed.  When we get sleet its bad! Great day to stay in, watch tv and finish stockings I'm making.

Gini, when my DGD was a *** her signature was always wearing unmatched socks, I thought that was the cutest thing!  Now at the age of almost 17, everything has to match, even her underwear, go figure.

It really isn't fair... My problem child has the best kids.  Quiet, respectful and wonderful.  Not fair at all.

marie, i was sorta teasing,   wil has a new attitude problem and i don't deal well with teens.    friday he was not minding at the ortho office,  their first time appointment, making a great impression on the new office.   not wanting to ruin his school i waited until i picked him up after school, then went into the 30 minute gramma lecture on not minding.   i told him  i wanted him to write a paper, a whole page,  on his misbehavior, how it affected me and the doctor  and what could he do to change it.    he flat refused.   i gave him the option of telling his mother why he refused or wrinting the paper, one time opportunity and he had to make the decision in ten seconds.    he chose wisely.   his sister said, "wil, if dubdub tells mom then mom wil l tell dad, and you know that dad will yell all night long and you will be crying all night.  write the paper, puh lease'.

totally not fair vivian.  when i got pregnant in high school, my grampa looked at mom and said, "what goes around comes around"  and smiled.

Gini--Loved your story.

I've often used the phrase "pay back time" when grandson had attitude with his dad. Unfortunately, those days are gone forever.
