I'm almost done quilting Noah's Ark quilt and I have 3 more waiting. Whew! Plus I started cutting pieces for round robin that was sent to me. And I finished a Secret Santa gift early this morning. I'm tired.

I worked on a scrappy quilt today.  I have not done very many scrappy quilts and I am enjoying the way it is turning out.  I picked up a large amount of fabric at an estate sale so I will be making a lot of quilts over the next few months.  Another good day of quilting.

I planned on working on that St Jude quilt that I want to get done, --but, instead, I got a good case of irritable bowel- diverticulitis.  Really feeling rough.  All I did was cut 16 2 1/2 inch squares that I need out of large unknown number that need to be done.  Right now, I am thinking my DR  is, at least, going to get a call in the morning for help with this, and now I am going to go lay down.    Ginny

Did I work on a quilt?  Well, no, but I quilted my purse as I was assembling it.  I have to admit this is the fourth time I've used this purse pattern.  The size and pockets are just what I like, so I remake it each season with new fabrics.  Here's the front and back view.  There are two interior pockets, too.

Great purse Nancy. I love purses. My granddaughter told me a woman can never have too many purses. Wise woman, that girl.

Yeah, but that usually means many styles of purses, and I only use the one style, and once I've moved my stuff in, I use it every day all season long.  In a rut, I guess...

Nancy, your purse is so pretty!  I really like the bird fabric and the buttons on the back.

Thanks for the nice comments, Judy, Bev, and Carol.  Those are chickadees, a year-round bird here in Minnesota.  Do you have them in your neck of the woods?

Love the purse, Nancy! What's the pattern? Or is it yours?

I need suggestions. This is not my quilt, but I did make one block for a wall hanging for a teenager boy. My first thought is to use Dallas Cowboy fabric in the back ground in rows across and use the three different prints I have and then just set this on top and sew around. Does anyone have any other thoughts on what might look good.

The other part of this question is how do you tear off the paper? This is my first paper piecing.

Thanks

Nancy love the chickadee fabric on your purse. And yes I have chickadees in my neighborhood. I have 2 chickadee houses in my garden so far. I heard 2 families in the one house and saw a nest in the other.

Ginny feel better. I can't wait to see the St. Jude quilt especially since some of the fabric came from my stash!!!  Hugs.

I reduce my stitch length to 1.5. It makes tearing off the paper much easier.

Nancy, is this design your own creation or is it a pattern I might be able to buy?  I love it, and would like to make one, too.
