I've been working on my 12 quilt project for the retreat center in Arizona. Seven are now completed. I completed the AZ Centennial top last week. Now I'm working on a Navajo quilt of my own design and a Noah's Ark mostly my own design since I was unable to obtain the center panel the pattern called for. I've cut out all the pieces for a scrappy coin quilt. The last quilt is Eleanor Burns' Christian Cross in honor of the military chaplains. I have enlisted the help of my neighbor to sew the bindings for me. Otherwise I'll never be ready by Oct. 26. Noah and the Navajo I hope to finish today. It's off to work I go.....Hugs.

Well, things did change today.  I was working on the St Jude quilt, trying to make things work out with not enough of the right colors when I got a call asking if I wanted to at least go for a motorcycle ride since the day was turning out nice and no rain.  Well, anyone who knows me knows that I jumped at the chance.  Rode out about 40 miles to a huge pig roast that was being held by a motorcycle club.  Enjoyed the scenery, the food , the ambiance, beautiful grounds and the beautiful clubhouse. Saw some friends and met some new ones.   Good day all in all.  Now to get back to the quilt.   Ginny

No quilting for me today, I spent the day in the heat at the Sparks Flea Market in Northeast Kansas. It was very steamy out. But it was a good day with my son and DIL.

Michelle this is beautiful quilting done on a. Eautiful quilt. I really like how you placed the snowflakes at the top and the holly in the slashing.

Well for me there has been no quilting since last Tuesday :-(   Work and vegetables got in the way. I'm hoping to at least sew bags for a fellow teacher today.

I worked on a Quilt for Kids quilt on Saturday, got it quilted and the binding on.  I will finish tacking down the binding today.  Also planned to finish a quilt top that is all laid out and ready to go.  I have a quilt in my long arm machine and will be starting to quilt it.  I have just finished some long arm quilting classes so I am going to experiment on this quilt.  I love long weekends, it gives me a chance to catch up on quilting projects and start to plan even more.

Michelle, I like the holly leaves with the snowflakes. I also like the idea of feathers in the white space. That's what I was originally thinking.  Think I am ready to start scribbling on paper to see what looks good. Thanks again for all the ideas!

Thanks everyone for the wonderful compliments on the quilting.  Made this one with my friend and then I finished it up for her Christmas gift. The comments mean alot coming from quilters!!

I posted a question about what kind of lighting for my "new" sewing room in another forum. Please leave me suggestions. The link to the questions is Lighting for a "New" Sewing Room. Thanks in advance for your help!
