I have challenged myself to make quilted christmas stockings for everyone one in my family,  That is 24 stockings. (2 of which go to the newly weds, my daughter Sarah and new son-in-laws Travis'  2 kids,  Titus and Bella.  Oh yea, they have 4 legs,  their kids are dogs.  lol)  In a week and a half I have completed 7,,,, 2 today.  So I think I am making great progress.  I am using white fuzzy fur that I call santa's beard fabric for the top, and on this white fur fabric I am embroidering their names. It was a challenge to figure out how to do the embroidery with the long "fur"  but then I remembered I had some water soluble stabilizer that I used when doing tshirts.  It works great on top of the "fuzzy fur".

Great idea, Donna.  I keep meaning to make Christmas stockings for everyone in the family, too, however I never seem to get around to it.  When can we see some pictures?

Donna, you have a lovely family.

It rained yesterday afternoon so I was able to get in some sewing time.  I got the last two rows on the Orion Star. It looks like rain today also so hopefully I can give it a good pressing and do one of the borders.  I say hopefully because I knocked my ironing board over and the iron went crashing down.  I don't know if it is broken or not.  I guess I'll know if I put water in it and it comes running out.  LOL  I really don't want to buy a new iron right now.

Hope everyone is having a great sewing day!

Donna, Rosie's beautiful!  Just scrolled down and what do I find, a picture of your family.  What a lovely family you have!  I'm sure they keep you busy.  Do any of them quilt with you beside Rosie?

Donna, that's quite a lot of Christmas stockings!  Can we see a picture of the ones you've already made?
