Nana:

Patti

That sounds like me.   My quilts start out as one thing and usually end up something different....LOL>

Like tents maybe?  ROFLOL!

Marsha-SM:
I used the corner mitering method for the corners... I stitched them on to within 1/4 inch of the mitered corner then folded the block diagonally and extended the diagonal through the lined up sashing and stitched from the inner corner out and trimmed seam to 1/4".

Thanks, Marsha.  I think I can handle that.  If I run into problems, I'll have plenty of talented quilters out there in Oregon to ask questions of.

This is my first time working with a panel, and I was nervous slicing into it.  Sure enough, I hadn't gone far when I made a mistake!  One misplaced cut meant two window panes were now the wrong size - one too big and the other too small.  After cursing myself, I decided to sew the two pieces together again so I could cut the bigger window pane piece to the correct size, and then I cut a different piece for the smaller window pane from the scraps.  It doesn't match the overall picture perfectly, but I don't think anyone will notice.  The visibility of the seam is a bigger concern.  I'm hoping I can hide it when I quilt.  Sheez...

Again, pictures will be coming when I put this together at the Oregon retreat.  I think this is a quilt I can actually finish in a couple of days.  That will be a retreat first for me!

Oh, it's an autumn scene - full of trees in their autumn glory with more colorful leaves covering the ground.  It's on display in a lot of quilt shops right now.

I'm planning a stained glass quilt from old jeans for my GD.  Does anyone have an idea as how much black fabric I will need  for a regular sized quilt (between twin and queen).

No quilting for me, DH's cold caught me.  :-/  But I have been making yo-yos for a project in the far, far future.  I found I had some pre-cut squares and don't remember what I had cut them for, so, they are now for yo-yos.  :-)  Well, gonna read some.  Everyone have an awesome day!

Nancy, That's a beautiful panel. I have this photo filed away for inspiration someday when I find a wonderful panel. Unfortunately I don't know who to give the credit to for this quilt.
