Karla, since you will be caught up soon, do you want to do mine?  I don't want you to get bored.

The quilt that Slink "helped" me load is started. One row of quilting takes 30 minutes that's 90 inches and a full bobbin. This is the first time I thought about keeping track. Wow!!

Actually I did work on a quilt today or tried to.   I was trying(!!) to get the borders on my MQ6 done tonight but I had way too much help.  Got the first border on before I had more help than I needed.   Annie (in the foreground) is my newest kitten, a stray a neighbor brought to me.   She is about 6 months old and into everything!  Maybe tomorrow I can finish with these borders.

Karla:
That's 2 of 30 tops quilted this month.

WHAT???  You're turning into a quilting machine!  What will you do with 30 quilts?

Pat, was it hard to introduce Annie to your first cat?

Nancy, Yes and No.  I have 4 other cats in addition to Annie.  2 grey striped tigers and 2 blackies.  The 2 blackies consider themselves a cut above the others and have never had much to do with the the tigers (Boomer and Barnie).  Boomer is mostly an outdoor cat so he doesn't care whether anybody likes him or not.  Besides he is a huge tom, at least a 1/3 larger than the others.   However, Barnie was pretty lonesome until Annie showed up and they have become pals.  The blackies tolerate Annie but that is about all.  The funny thing is out of the other 4 cats Tina is the only female and she cannot abide Annie.  Fur does not fly as often as it did in the early days but the truce is very tenuous.

How very like my bunch. The two boys get along great. Slinky is the only female and she is black and she is defiantly a cut above the boys, and she tells them that on a daily basis.

I'm working on my wall quilt.  Funny thing is on the tier I was going to add some fmq but because it was lame iguess it did its own texturizing.  It didn't flaw the material exactly but added lines of ripples like in gathering.  So far I'm not pulling my hair out like I thought I would.

Pat I love the cat thats helping you with your quilt.  I'm on cloud nine or infinity my relatives just called they received the mq9 from me and they are using it as a bedspread I'm so happy because I loved the design thanks again nana but it grew to big for me to complete the way i wanted to.  They were happy with it though so i'm off to a happy quilting day.  Now that I think of it I've never seen anyone unhappy to be gifted with a quilt.

Jacy:

From the book East of the Sun and West of the Moon by Mercer Mayer.

Wow, Jacy, you are a wonder!  Do you have a lot of landscape fabrics in your stash?  The ones you chose are just perfect.  Can I ask if you drew in the lines that define the top of each step?

Yes I did, I finished the binding on Licorice Pieces (my red/white/black) made from the r/w/b charm swap last summer.  That makes 2 quilts finished in January...only about 30 UFO's left to work on and still keep up with the other projects I have going.

Here's a pic of Licorice Pieces.

I started working on this one at the Oregon Retreat in October...#2 of those started at that Retreat and the 2nd one to be finished also,

I've still got to find some backing for MQ9 (one of the ones I put together at the retreat and bordered), but is still awaiting quilting.
