Vivian, we're heading to Alaska also, but not until summer. This Texan doesn't "do" cold weather and snow!  Looking forward to seeing all the beauty there. Our plans include driving in the RV the Alaskan highway so also will see lots of Canada!

Michelle - oh, I'm green with envy.  We want to travel when I retire in 718 days, not that I'm counting or anything.  Would love to visit Alaska, but I'm with you, going in summertime.

Vivian :
my granddaughter qualified to ski in the Arctic Games in her age group in Fairbanks in March. So instead of escorting my MIL to Nevada we are going "north to Alaska".  So,proud and looking forward to the scenic route flying to Alaska requires!

Be on the lookout for northern lights!  I would love to spend some time in Alaska in the winter.

We get the lights here at home as well as at our lake cabin. Perhaps not as vibrant as I hear they are up north but pretty nice if I do say.

Angele have fun creating those baby quilts.  Thats the size I have the most fun with because they're quick.

Judy great fabric gift.  I too love finding the older leftover fabrics.

Took a break from working on quilt  because of shoulder but now its almost ready to start again.  Really I don't know if it was the tug of war through harp or all the snow shoveling which was way too much.

In my spare time whats that right, helping relatives.  hoping to still be able to go to florida but until i have tickets in hand it will only be a dream,  also searching for a dream house that we can afford..

Just to be safe is give up the shovelling. No good has ever come of shovelling snow.

George would agree with you! When we get snowfall, all around us are hubby's shoveling driveways. Thankfully, we don't get deep snow all that often. It's become somewhat of a joke around our neighborhood. George will go beg neighbors not to shovel their driveways as it makes him look bad! LOL

Good morning all!

The I Spy quilt that I made for my grandson for Christmas (thanks to the help from some of you) was such a big hit, that now I have been asked to make another!  Problem is, I only have about 48 of the 88 different fabrics needed for the quilt. Since there aren't any charm swaps going in in the swaps forum, is anyone interested in swapping some fabric?  I am particularly looking for boy/dinosaur/monster/candy/food etc.  I have mostly nautical, batiks, and small floral prints to exchange.  Anyone interested in swapping?

Diane, I would swap with you, but I'm not home right now. How soon do you need them? I made 2 DGS I spy quilts for Christmas too. I have several charms left.

Debbie, Weezee -  Yes, the pattern calls for 4" squares - but last time I swapped 5" squares to allow for cutting differences.  I need to have the quilt done for March - but it should only take me a week at most to get it done and quilted.

I am most appreciative of any help!
