Nancy & Susan, thanks :-) I've been lurking for a while & not posting much since I haven't been sewing. The basement is dry & warm now & looks so much better with painted drywall than old, dark paneling. We've got an overhead sewer system so no more water should come in from the floor drains but the next step is to disconnect the downspouts around the house so no water can seep in through any undiscovered cracks in the foundation. So far, so good.
I have 5 nieces & nephews' quilts to do & two have been started, so I'll be a busy bee for a while :-)
Kelley, i really like your blocks, so bright and cheerful.
And thanks for the link, I'll have to check that out.
My stack isn't nearly as large as Jacy's. I think I have 10 finished tops, two of them are already sandwiched, pinned and ready to quilt. Someday.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
I finished my flannel baby quilt . Now I need to sew the binding on another one thats been hanging around for a while. The baby was born in Aug and with all the cold weather we have been having Im sure it would be used. Talk about procrastination and Im usually not like this. The one I just finished does not have binding so it was sooo easy. The hardest part was choosing the fabric, does anyone else find it difficult to choose colors? I drive myself crazy deciding which to pick from my stach. Im trying to decide which pattern to use for my Vin Du Jour fabric I have a layer cake and several yards of various prints. Just cant find the right pattern for a lap quilt. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it . Susan
I did work on a quilt today and finished this one up yesterday. I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out. The pattern is called Hay Bale and I made some minor adjustments so it would fit on a queen bed with a drop on 3 sides.
I learn so much from you ladies and want to thank you for sharing your wealth of information! I am such a newbie, only 3 years, that still every day is a learning experience for me on this site!
Thanks for looking
Mz M, that is a beautiful quilt. Love the pattern and fabrics you used.
Mz M , Well Done! I love the combination of lights and darks. It's a great pattern Thanks for sharing!
Mz M, beautiful quilt. The fabrics are so pretty.
I just finished putting the binding on a quilt for my great grandson. I have another one ready to whip down the binding, and another one pinned and ready to quilt. I, too, am trying to get tops quilted. I am really enjoying using my Platinum 16. So now it's past time for bed. But I had to finish that quilt.
I love your quilt, MzM.
Hi Susan, I'm working on a monthly mystery quilt using Vin du Jour. Isn't it the prettiest fabric? I don't know the pattern so I can't share but I bet if you go to the Moda web site there will be at least one patten they made up using this line. Here is one I found. Have fun.
Mz M I love lyour quilt. It's beautiful!. Like your fabric choices. Great job.
