Thanks.  She was really happy with it and is excited about giving it to the mother to be tonight.

While she was here she was digging through my stash and found some Seattle Seahawk fabric. Since the Seahawks are doing so well this year, she talked me into making a quilt around the fabric. We spent an hour or so playing with designs and came up with a Disappearing Nine Patch with the team colors. Should be fun.

Angele yes and thanks. :) Its mine and my hubbys old jeans together, flannel backed. Rugged and warm. We use it at race tracks and as a picnic blanket. If it gets a hole in it that is ok... I'll put a patch on it.

Sounds like  a fun weekend. :)

Angele:

Debra is your quilt made of jeans? It looks good.

today I finished the blocks. Tomorrow I will put the slashing and borders. Then  I have to get ready for next weekend as we are having a quilting weekend  my Tuesday quilting buddies and I.  Fun, fun, fun.

Judy T-Bellingham:
randdaughter, Syvana, finished the baby quilt. It's for a boy who is due this month. Mother didn't want cutsey, babish stuff. This is a flannel rag quilt. She added an appliqued bear paw on one block. I love it. Thanks for the help with the edges. Took your advice, she sewed a couple lines and snipped the edges.

Syvana did a great job!  This quilt will be loved by that baby boy for many years I'm sure.  Hope he doesn't get lost in all that camo - LOL

My daughter came by needing help with a rag quilt.  We sat down and pieced a baby quilt in about an hour.  She had it all cut and ready for sewing.  I love quilting with her.

Judy, you are so lucky to have a granddaughter who quilts.  Syvana is beautiful and so is her quilt, she did a nice job with her color choice and that bear paw is a perfect addition.

Jo, I'll say the same to you, you are so lucky to have a daughter to quilt with.  How many of you have a family member to quilt with?

Thanks for the positive comments on my granddaughters quilt. I passed them on to her and she said to tell everyone thank you.. She gave it to the mother to be last night who was so excited and kept saying how it was her favorite gift.

Marie, I have a 5 year old DGD who wants to help and I use that word loosely. She is happy with her summer quilt I made for her big girls bed.
