Sukochi:

Flowing tears, broken heart. Dear God, help her to get back to her normal life. Help the surgeon's to find a way to fix this. Dear Lord, please be with her precious husband, who can only stand by and watch this. And her DMIL who is trying to keep up with the day to day needs of their home.  Lord, we love you so, we know you are with her. May she find peace in the knowledge that you are there. May her faith grow stronger with every breath. In Jesus name, I pray. amen.

Well said Sukochi!  I ditto this.  We love you Kristin.

All the blocks are amazing!  Kristin will have a smile on her face each time she sees our blocks made with love and healing thoughts for her.  Many hugs and lots of prayers for you and hubby, Kristin.

Maggie,

I am glad that sewing keeps you sane, it drives me crazy !! I am always so happy though to see something done. I am working on a paper piece star. Someone took a pattern i saw online and made it into a Dallas Cowboy star. I am making two of these for a mini quilt for 2 guys I know.

I have never done a crazy block, but that could be fun as we all have so many scraps. PM me and we can be co-swap group leaders. I think we work on the same level of getting things done...lol, So it would be helpful to have a back up person.  : )

Barbara, please don't think less of your block, mine is simple too, but they will all make up into a beautiful quilt !!

Barbara, mine was simple too. I love all these blocks. I too am interested in the crazy block swap but I've never done one. I'd like to see the swap go through the Fabric Swaps group as they have all the standards about materials, etc., in place. Let me know when it gets to the Swap group. I'd also like a Fall deadline as I am covered right now in projects with due dates!

Thanks,

Karla, Maggie, Bonita and Carolyn thanks for the comments on my block! I had a great time making it. It is paper pieced. I looked through magazines and the blocks from the link but I kept coming back to this one. And since Kristin doesn't like pastels I knew I had to dip into my Kaffe Fassett/Paula Nadelstern scrap pile and pair it with some batiks. I used some cream for background and voila all done!

Barbara I'm sure your block is beautiful.  I will mail mine tomorrow but I think they are really simple & plain.  I had to remake both o them. ha  But it is getting me back into quilting & sewing.

Bonita your block is really pretty.  All the blocks are and the colors are so pretty and bright.  I can't wait to see the finished quilt.  I know it will help Kristin to heal quicker.

Amen Sukochi, my heart aches for Kristen & her family.  My DMIL used to say This too shall Pass, Nothing last forever.  I know sometimes it sure feel like it especially when we are sick or helpless.  I pray that God will be with Kristen & her husband tonight and tomorrow and give them peace and lean on Him for each min. of the day.  Thank you for your prayer you do have a way with words.
