tnmtgrl:
I love him much and he takes care of me but when it comes to my quilting he has no idea.

That's the way I felt about my DH until he started intarsia wood working. He had the tougher job cause you can't stretch or ease wood. This is the last work he did for me and I shall always treasure it. These are all natural woods with only a seal coating, no color enhancement.

Nana and Diane, you gals are just so sweet!  How I wish I could pack my car and be on the road tonight, but alas such is not possible.  Someday, I'll be knocking on ya'll's door.  Darn, work and family upset my plans all the time.

Lots of sewing today on this Memorial Day. Trying to get the sewing room cleaned up, so I can start getting quilts cut for the June Smokey Mountain retreat.  Finished up 4 scissor holders, zipper bags for friends, thread catchers and a pot holder finished for my next embroidery class next weekend.  Have to take it back finished to get 10% discount on anything I buy at the store.  Will be leaving in the am to St Louis to teach a few classes at the hospitals there, won't be back till late Thursday, so wanted to make sure all my projects were done. Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day and Thank you to all those that have given their lives for our freedom.

I did finish up a chenille type baby blanket with minkee backing.   Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic before I took it to the mom in waiting.   I finished it about 5 minutes before I rushed out the door.

Marie:
I originally bought the small SS quite awhile ago but more recently I bought the Sew Slip brand like Debbie-do because of the pricing and I am also pleased with it.  In any case they are expensive but I wouldn't even attempt to do the little FMQing I do without it.  My little one is used for pot holders, etc.  and the big one for the larger quilts.

ok, what is a Slider and what does it do?
