EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Hi HD lady. Glad you can join us. So what kind of quilting do you like to do? If you haven't done so, check out the groups. We also have some great retreats, for the most part put together by members here, so they are inexpensive.
Hi and welcome HD, nice to have you join us.
Welcome HD from Nevada
MN Nancy Hello. I've been quilting for about 10 years. I make a variety of quilts, wall hangings, baby quilts, aprons and doll quilts. Right now I'm making quilts that I call my "Camping Quilts". So much fun! I have these 4 panels that have camping scenes on them and I just make up the rest of the pattern as I go along. The MN material works great with these panels! I live north of the twin cities about 50 miles. I am new to this site so it might take me a while to get used to it. I will have to try and post some pics someday. Thanks for the reply!
Oh fun, another Minnesotan! Straight north of the Twin Cities? I have a quilting friend in Elk River, but that would be northwest. Are you going to the MN Quilt Show in Duluth in June? Right now I am working on Mystery Quilt 8 with the QCA club! These are always fun! Can't wait to see how this one turns out.
Leslie-Thank you for the welcome.I'm from the cold north-Minnesota-where the winter will not leave us this year! The only good thing about this crazy weather is that it gives me more time to quilt. I love doing wall hangings, doll quilts, large size quilts,etc.. Right now my thing has been my "camping quilts". I found these 4 panels with camping scenes on them and I am having so much fun with them. I am making up my pattern as I go along so there is no right or wrong with it! I need to try and post some pics of them. Again thanks for the welcome.
Barbara-love your motto!! Thanks also for the welcome. I do quite a bit of quilting in my spare time! I work almost full time and have 3 grandsons that keep me busy! Right now I am working on what I call my camping quilts. They are so much fun to do. I try to personalize them for whoever is getting one of them. I love to give my quilts away as a surprise to people who are not expecting one!! I'm from central Minnesota where the winter will not leave us this year! So I am having extra time to work on my quilts for now. My husband and I ride motorcycle so when the weather turns warm it is hard to get any quilting done. But somehow I will find the time!
