should I iron the batting before sandwiching my quilt?
i release my batt from the bag a couple of days before i use it to let it relax. i've never had a need to iron it, it smooths out nicely.

If I'm in a hurry and haven't done what Gini said, I put it in my dryer on air and that helps a bit.
