click on that person's name and you will get an option to "friend" them. they have to accept your friendship. sometimes if we don't check our homepage often enough we miss the "friends" then you go back to message boards and say, " hey, jill, i friended you". i'll friend you now, you go to your home page and accept my friendship and you can see how it works.

i see you have already friended some folks, now you go to your home page, and across from your name you will see friends, click on thoat and it will take you to your friends, click on one of their names and start writing your message.
