Thank you all for your wonderful comments.  You have encouraged me to keep going with it.  I wanted it to be perfect for Sarah, but she will have to settle for the best I can do.  Thanks again everyone.

Donna, I love it!  You are right, you don't want to make it so perfect that they wouldn't realize you put so much of yourself in it!  Anyone can buy a quilt, not so many wouyld put the many hours into making one that is so difficult to make lay flat!!  I have always wanted to make something like this, but don't do well when so many points ending up in the same place.  You give me the desire to tackle one myself.

Such a beautiful gift made with love.

Am about to start my personal marathon quilting session.  Thanks to my therapy session Tuesday, I am a lot less stiff this morning and ready to start.  Machine is on, set, and ready for me!  During the night I remembered where the MQ5's border fabric was.  There is enough for the backing, so quilt number one is ready to sandwich and quilt.  Only half will fit on the table at a time for pinning, but that worked for the MQ5 I  donated last fall, so it should work for this one.  I am going to just stitch in the ditch on these for simplicity.  I seem to be getting faster with FMQ, but will stay with the tried and true for these because I need to get them done so quickly.

Off to the machine!
