Jenia, thanks for the quick reply!  I went out to the Barnett website and have started dreaming.  I really like the bean bag hoop and the Tilt & Spin.  I'll have to get real serious about hand quilting before I order one I'm afraid.

Karla, both of your purse are adorable.  They are so much fun.  The buttons are a perfect addition.

That touched my heart and I prayed for that little boy. I just feel this is where God is leading me. It makes me feel at peace.

Bonita, I use fusible fleece by Pellon.  It works real well.  I started another one today, which I hope to get finished tonight, only need to put the grommets in and make the straps.  Tomorrow, I'm going to make a bigger one by enlarging the pattern directions

So far I've made 5 of the charm purses from MSQC. Just finished one for my DD. She wanted one just abit deeper, so I added another row. She picked out the fabrics herself, she's always liked the the little Russian dolls. The blue one is for DGD to carry her ballet & tap shoes to class. And the last one is for me. These are fun and easy to make.

It must be the time of year to sew new spring purses.  Nice job, Bonita!

Karla, I really like your purses, so cute and very fashionable!  where did you find the pattern?  I love the one with outside pocket as that's where I like to put my phone so I don't have to dig for it.  Usually when I buy a purse i has several requirements - outside pocket and plenty of pockets inside for my stuff - lipstick, keys; things I don't want to have to hunt for.  but I might try my hand at making my own.  have made a few before but weren't as cute, more practical then anything.  but I even sold a few.

H. e's my completed blocks but need some input on how best to finish.  I started these blocks about 4 years ago and used a cheap solid yellow cotton.  Well, ya'll have taught me the value of good quality fabric so I removed the cheap stuff and reswed them on to this bright yellow batik (sorry ladies, it was going to be in the swap but had to use a few pieces so bought different since I couldn't find more) anyways, don't have anymore of the dark blue either so unsure what to use as border.  It's 37 x 48 right now.  Should I find a dk blue for inside border and use yellow batik for another? Help!

Debbie, I love this!  I think you could use any of the darker blade fabrics for an inner border with your yellow batik or any of the lighter blade fabrics with perhaps a near-solid brown batik for outer border.

Can you share the name of the pattern and designer?
