I use an empty prescription bottle to put my broken and worn needles in when I change them out. The container is brightly colored so it's easy to find plus it has the locking cap.

I, not only, keep my old or bent needles in them, but my stash of buttons, and such ,for my postcards and quilties. And, as we pay a premium for those bottles, it seems like a sin not to recycle them.
Rannellis...Thanks for the idea. I have used them for various things but never thought old prescription bottle for old needles saves them getting lost or falling out of trash unknown until you step on them.

I also use the prescription bottles for seeds for the garden, buttons. coins, I have even put jewelry in them, and any thing else small but never thought of needles :-0

I also use the large bottles for used rotary cutter blades.

I also use prescription bottles for bobbins. The size I have will hold 5 bobbins. I keep 2 handy, one for filled, one for unfilled. As I use the thread up, it goes in the unfilled bottle. When the last one in put in machine, I go ahead and fill the 5 up that are now in the unfilled bottle. I can grab the bottle and keep it in my traveling box too. Or have extra ones, one for travelling and one for home.

Great idea! I usually load my bobbins and stack them on the spare thread spindle on my sewing machine.
