I need some new ideas. I have many cookbooks and barely use them the cost of all ingredients etc. I thought maybe I'd get some new ideas asking everyone what they are cooking today. I'm working on baby quilt while my sliced cucumber are getting ready for sour cream I'm probably making pepper steak to go with them. What are you cooking today?

Sukochi, you are making me so hungry!!!! One good thing about planning and shopping ahead is that you can always change what you have each night.

Thanks for replying I hope this thread continues because it will give me fresh ideas. I figure everyone eats everyday.
Baked Pork Chops, sweet taters, green beans, baked apples for dessert tonight. Tomorrow will be baked chicken, leftover sweet taters, leftover green beans, fruit salad for dessert.
This sounds great to me loads better than all my DH favorite fast food.

LOL ... I'm not organized. I just have to plan ahead or I spend way too much $$ on gas and on restaurants if I don't make a menu. That and trying to lose weight makes me have to plan or overeat. :)
Is2116, I am going to have a greek style salad. with greek vinagarette and a bowl of ratatouille. I love that stuff, and it will be a vegetarian supper tonight. If i feel that I must have something swet later, I'll have some greek salad with fresh strawberries and blueberries in it. Ginny
Oh my, I said i would have greek salad with fruit in it for dessert---no, no, no, I meant greek yogurt with strawberies and blueberries in it. LOL Ginny
My DS made us baked haddock and stir fried green beans and red and yellow peppers with lots and lots of garlic. Yummy!

I hear ya. I actually used to make a menu, when the kids were little and I shopped for everything for two weeks at a time. The only thing I bought in between was milk, bread and the occasional fresh veggie. You actually do spend way less on food that way.
