Does anyone in here make their own candles and soaps? If so, have you found a good place to get your materials from?

I have a friend who long arm quilts and makes her own soaps - her name is Charlotte Payne Tucker and she is on Facebook.  She is the owner of Charlotte's Quilting Ranch Stuido - I am sure she could help you!

Hi Kinsey,

Mountain rose herbs sells things for candles and soaps. All organic. And the Nerdy Farm wife has some good recipes. I am going to try lip balm and her body butter as soon as my stuff gets here. Another good source is the Soap Deli news.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Deb

I've made my own soap. I always just bought the lye from the hardware store and get the tallow from the meat counter at my local grocery (special request item). Sented oils can be obtained from healthfood stores.

Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
