Your snow is beautiful but that's why I left upstate NY. We lived on top of a mountain and always got a lot more than Albany got down on the flatlands. They would get 2 inches and we'd get 12. That 1993 super blizzard dropped 40 inches in 36 hours on us. We got snowed in for 4 days. Plows gave up on Thurs. night and we didn't see another one until Monday afternoon. That's why we always had a freezer full of food that I can't seem to break the habit. I always have 2 or 3 loaves of bread in the freezer, 2 or 3 extra pounds of butter, lots of meat, etc. I finally stopped freezing milk (whole milk only). I have lots of canned goods as well, in case I can't get out, but that's only happened here in Tn. once in the 7 1/2 years we've been here. Driveway was so icy, couldn't get out.
Be careful, everyone, with the snows and ice. Stay home and safe if you can. Quilt away your day.

I have so enjoyed everyone's snow scenes. I've been so jealous that we didn't have any here in our part of PA. Well that all changed today. There's about 2 inches on the ground and it's still slowly drifting down. We were supposed to go to Ephrata this PM to visit with relatives from Nebraska but the roads are too icy. Hope we get more soon. (Don't be mad a me Kris. I love the snow.)

Bev, it sleeted for 5 mins. I was startmg to get excited then it stopped. sigh. Maybe, before winter is over. I know Nan said in her email earlier that it is snowing in Cleveland, TN. OK, I can wait....and wait...and wait....!

I'm not mad, I just wish I could send ours your way. It's been coming down since I got up this morning and hasn't stopped.
DH and I got back from the grocery store about half hour ago, yuck. It's mixing with ice. We had to scrape the car off to come home. On the plus side there were only about four other people in the place.

Oh it's so beautiful. I just love how quiet everything gets, and the crunch of the tires in the snow. You've got great snow removal in ME. My DH's grandparents lived in the Ellsworth area on Graham Lake. It's still snowing here but not like that. Just soft and fluffy.

How delightful, Patti! Did you make the ornaments from suet and then roll them in seeds or just buy them? We have a lot of fiesty juncos too. Aren't they just crazy? Neat video clip too.

\Thanks for the comments everyone. I found the recipe for the ornaments on the internet. Uses a little bit of corn syrup, pkg of unflavored gelatin, a little flower, and a couple cups of seeds. They are messy and sticky to make. Next year think we will add some small pine cones filled with suit and peanut butter. And maybe some other dried fruits.
