ok i found a fairly easy raggedy basketweave design online i am going to make for a christmas gift...... the gal that posted it said she used ...FREEZER PAPER to hold everything together til she could get it sewn... i do not have any freezer paper and i am wanted to know if i could use wax paper with out messing anything up?
or is there any other type of household items i can use that would make it just as easy to hold everything together i was thinking maybe wax paper with a tiny tiny bit of spray basting just to hold it ??
thanks for your help
btw to everyone that helped me with my last post... YOU GUYS ROCK... I did get my very first official quilt done... i will post pics as soon as i get some free time...
I've never done this pattern. Is it an applique or something that is the only thing I have ever used freezer paper for is applique or a quilting design. If it is paper piecing I use normal printer paper most of the time and tear it off as each block is completed and then sew them together.
