We are on a roll. For those of you who didn’t see our last quilt for a foster child, there’s a picture at  We now have another foster teen who needs some attention.  She’s 17 and is about to move into her own apartment. She recently became a mom to a wonderful little girl and this has, for obvious reasons, posed challenges for her. She would love to know that we’re all pulling for her.

She is absolutely obsessed with everything related to Elmo. She was Elmo for Halloween, for example. She also spends any extra money she has on sneakers.

Let’s do two coordinated quilts… one larger one for our foster teen and a smaller one for her little girl. The theme will be “From Elmo with Love,”  and let’s use

Elmo-red, black, pink and purple.

If you would like to contribute, please send me 8 ½ inch blocks for the mom and, 4 ½ inch squares for the little girl. My address is 2727 Kirby Drive, Apt 23D, Houston, TX 77098.

The holidays are a busy time for everyone, so let’s try to have all the blocks in by the end of January and finish the quilt by the end of February.

Happy quilting, everyone, and thank you for your big hearts.
