Donna, I like your purples.I think it's a lovely quilt. There are enough differences in values to set the blocks apart. But if you really want to separate them, you could put in dark sashing.

Carol from Pittsburgh:
So here's mine.

Well I DO like your colors.  This makes a wonderful fall throw.  If you need to find it a good home, I'll be glad to send you my address.  LOL

Carol W:
I'm hoping this will make a nice gift for a veteran.

This is lovely Carol.  I was thinking of making my second one from some fabrics that I won at the Fall Fiber Frenzy.  They are all red, white and blue.  As soon as I saw them I thought QOV,  You've done a great job with this one.  Can't wait to see it finished.

Barbara--I'm not a Tweety fan, but I saw the fat quarter set at Walmart when they were clearancing out their stuff.  I couldn't resist buying it because my SIL LOVES Tweety.  I figured I could do something with it at some point.  With the other two FQ bundles I picked up at the same time, it made a cute quilt!  I can't wait to pull it all together.  I bought a really bright yellow that I want to sandwich between blacks as one of the borders.  Just to bring out the yellow in the Tweetys.

Donna:
Not sure if I will continue

I bet you do the same thing I do when I'm thinking about all the things I have on my to-do list.  I let the quilt wait.  Sometimes it really grows on me.  Other times I come up with a good idea that will make it more the way I'd like to see it.  I think the shades of purple and pink are wonderful.  Maybe give it some time?

Wow, love all the quilt tops that have been posted.  I have finally been able to get my rows sewed and can't wait for the next step.

Here's my Step 3.  I had 42 blocks but ended up only using 30 of them.  I thought it was just too busy in the larger size. I like this a little better.

Here is my new step. My granddaughter (age 10), is doing this project too. But she got tired and decided not to cut the second cut and just put them together. I think it turned out cute...She will wait till we see the next step to decide if it's done. I will do some kind of border. I was worried about the red being too strong, but it worked.
