I love the braid border.  This made a gorgeous quilt.   I even have most of those fabrics.  Loved that line.

JudyEE, WOW!  I'm totally speechless!  You've really made this MQ7 your own!  Fantastic!  You need to send a pic to Jenny Doan.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments and especially thanks to you Nana for hosting this MQ and giving us all a project where we could feed off each others' ideas and make the quilts. You're right Nana, I did buy the entire fat quarter collection, (34 fabrics), of September Lights at the Leavenworth Retreat in 2011 and have now, sadly, used most of it. But I guess that means I get to buy more fabric. Oh well.

Lcqulter46 your quilt looks great. Wish I would have seen this before I made my strips. Oh we'll. I can do that on the next quilt right ;)

I'm getting inspired by all your wonderful quilts to try and finish mine before everything has to be put away. I may have to go and buy some fabric for the border as I cannot seem to find a piece I was sure I had, darn poor me having to go fabric shopping... :(

lcqultr46  this is one beautiful quilt. I love the friendship braid, it is a wonderful addition to the QST blocks. You all who did that block have really made your fabrics pop. I am thrilled with what I am seeing from all of you great designers. wow and wow-oh.  I haven't missed an entry & there are just too many of us to mention all of them individually. I have posted on your Media posts as well.
this is what I have ready step 3 with a frame. My borders are going to be a pieces piano border; I used the 9.5" pieces sewn together then cut them in half. I am playing with the idea of adding a piping or flange between the red ho ho fabric frame & adding the 2" eggshell (KONA)border to the strip of keys. My project is at Mother's & I have moved my little machine over there, so I am working on this three days a week. I have my big machine here at home to work other projects and embroidery. All of my customer jobs are out of here so I am having a fun time with my own wants.. lol
here is what is done for step 3 Mrs. O's Mystery.

Oh Caryl Anne. You are just as great a designer as anyone else.  I love the way you put in the narrow pieces.  It's going to be a beauty!

I can't believe the beauties that have been created from this mystery, the one we were disappointed with and griped about??? I guess it truly is Nana's Surprise! Thank you, Nana!  :-)

I hope you're feeling much better.

All the finished tops are so very pretty!  I desperately need to get mine done...it's going to be a Christmas present!  Now, if only my stomach would allow me to sit at my machine.  Stupid flu bug!
