I bought one of the expensive Rowenta irons about 8 months ago. It died this past week. I am so disgusted. I went to Walmart and bought one of their GE irons. It was a midrange price. So far I am liking it. And if it only lasts 4 months it was still cheaper than the nice expensive iron....LOL

Nana, I thought the Joann VIP card couldn't be used at the same time as coupons. Maybe I better read the fine print again.
carol, i think that depends on the store

They don't let you double dip... if you use a coupon, you don't get an extra discount with the card. Anything you don't use a coupon for will get the discount.

Yep, I hear ya. I will not buy another expensive iron. I even bought one of those really expensive Reliable Irons just before I got sick, I bet it did not get used 20 times and it quit. No more, from now on cheap irons for me. I got a classic dry iron in June and I love it. Does not do anything but iron, no steam nothing, just like your mother use to have.

I like the steam but I won't be buying anymore of the expensive irons. That is ridiculous that they don't last any longer than they do. And they really don't preform that much better than the less expensive ones.

Do you mean to tell me that you have to sprinkle all of those pieces of fabric and let them set to get uniformly damp to press them? LOL Ginny
