I am new to this site and fairly new to quilting. I live in central Florida and have lived here all my life! I am married and have 3 grown children, 1 granddaughter and a grandson on the way. I became interested in learning to quilt because I wanted to make a quilt for the new baby. I look forward to learning more about quilting and meeting others hooked on quilting too.

Welcome Jessica. If you are looking for other addicts you have definitely come to the right place. We are all addicted to quilting and all the fun things that go with it.
Welcome to the family Jessica, enjoy and post often. I'm having my first great grandchild in March/April, waiting to find out the gender before I jump in and make a quilt for him/her.
Jessica - welcome to QCA - I am so happy that you found us and that you have a grandson on the way. When is he due to join us here? I have a new grandchild on the way too - she/he is due to arrive in April. We don't know yet whether ours is a boy/girl but we are excited just the same - we have one grand daughter and one grandson already and are so happy for another to join us.
We are all here hooked on quilting - I am what I call a quiltoholic and have a 12 step program for the continuation of that ism not wanting anytime soon to stop... I am glad that you found us and hope to have many years learning with you about this wonderful hobby!
Hello! Our grandson is due on October 1. I finished a quilt in time for the baby shower. I did a few practice quilts, all crib size, and finally found fabric suitable for a boy. In the beginning I thought it was really difficult to find fabric for little boys but it is getting easier. I still want to make some girly quilts! I found out about Quilts for Kids and and did a couple for that organization. I am enjoying this addiction.
