I love the baby quilt and the "Stars".  Really like the fact the stars are wonky.  At first I thought, "Oh I'd like to make one similar", then sanity took over.  I AM NOT starting any more quilts until the UFO's around here are tamed.

Well, except last night when I couldn't sleep.  I made what I'm calling my "3 hour batik quilt".  It is a throw size -- 44 x 66" as it presently stands.  I'm trying to decide whether to add another border of batik or leave as is.  If I leave as is, do I bind with the black (which is a tone-on-tone) or bind with a batik?  Decisions, decisions.  But since I've decided this is a Christmas present, I need to finish by tomorrow.

Very pretty, Brigit-Carol.  I love the batiks.  If you're leaving as-is, I'd bind in black to stay with the modern/minimalistic look that it has going for it already.  Just my personal opinion.  Love the quilt!

Wow Brigit, 3 hours!  It would take me that long to get to my sewing room and my house is ranch size.  Very pretty quilt you have there.

Pretty BB, the black really set it off and makes the Batiks shine

Thank all of you for you kind comments on Stars!  They are truly appreciated.

Have finally gotten home from the last trip to the stores before Christmas...what a madhouse! All I wanted was some bread, milk, and eggs...felt almost like hand-to-hand combat.  But now I'm home and can get started quilting on Stars this afternoon!

Brigit-Carol--I'm in love with your 3 Hour Magic!  The black makes the other colors look so rich and vibrant!  I'd go with a black binding if it was mine...wouldn't want to detract from those beautiful colors. What will the backing look like? Would a black binding go with the backing? Don't you love how quilting makes you ask so many questions!  LOL!

Max - I am late to the party but Stars is beautiful.

Brigit-CArol - your 3 hour magic is very very nice - I might put a batik border around it and then bind the whole thing in black.

Me - yep been working on my MR quilt day in and day out... someday I'll be done with it - Barbara and I have been having a quilting party between our two homes - she is quilting Marie's quilt and she did some Birthday civil war blocks - I taught her how to piece a triangle point so that she never will lose the point again - I hope...teehee...

My MR quilt - well I am to block 5 of fusing all those little pieces down on the background blocks - after I get them all done - I start the satin stitching - and that will be hours and hours on top of hours and hours...teehee... but I love quilting so I love doing this - I might have to stop in the middle and do something like that 3 hour magic just to have some peace - teehee... and feel like I have accomplished something - but this MR quilt is so pretty... different yet somehow the same as her other Christmas quilts - soon they will be able to decorate every room in the house...

Max,  I didn't get to comment earlier as I had appointments that were staring me in the face,  but I really like the way you did the stars quilt.  I wish I had some of your creativity in my brain, you do such lovely different work.    Ginny
