Sukochi, you need to send me a specific picture...remember? (Don't forget that I will be at the Leavenworth Retreat next week (9/30-10//5), so I am trusting you to keep walking every day!)

It is good to hear that you have had a pain free day. I know how great it is to have one of those. Hope you continue to have more good days than bad.
i'm off to the hospital. today is my grandson's surgery to repair or remove one of his kidneys. my niece has put off this surgery for 2 1/2 months because she's scared. i hope they can still fix the plumbing. it will be a long day with the passive/agressive niece, her DH, who can't make a decision, and the dippity-doo in-laws. oh, and they are bringing the 8 y o brother to hang out in the hospital for the next few days, instead of leaving him with me or his aunt.
I know that little matthew is in good hands at children's. he'll be just fine. i just hope i don't commit an unspeakable act on the in-laws and that i keep my mouth shut.
my other niece is so furious at her sister being so wishy washy over this surgery and not giving us any information, that she wasn't even going to the hospital. i had to tell her to buck up, that her sister is scared and needs her. so the two of us will be there with our mouths secured by duck tape, sitting on our hands.
i have my sewing packed to work on and i really need my scissors, but i'm a bit afraid to take them for fear one of us will use them in an unauthorized manner. : )

Gini, T&P with Matthew today, and for you also to keep you out of trouble
[Ava, Missouri
Prayers go with you Gini - one for you not to use those scissors in an unauthorized manner and for the little boy to have courage beyond his years - for the surgeons to have the skills needed to help him and for the parents to have the knowledge needed at this time to calm their fears. What a terrible ordeal to go through - I can not imagine having to make those kind of decisions.
praying for your grandson, family, and you Gini. Only one kidney functioning at about 30 % is needed. So what happened to the one that needs repairs?

Nail clippers will work on thread, and you are less likely to commit acts of mayhem with them. Hugs and Prayers heading your way.
