Hi everyone,
I joined about a month ago, but spent time looking through the club and still haven't seen everything! I am new to quilting and loving it.
Glad to be part of QCA and looking forward to your posts and your help!

Hi welcome to the site. Just a note to let you know you can sign up for many different groups here depending on your interests and what you would like to learn. There is a handpiecing group, free motion quilting group, paper piecing, and more. So check out the groups button :). I periodically check the message boards I used to be more active but now I work 41 plus hours a week and some are less busier than me but wanted to welcome you:) Carey
Maureen - welcome to the club! This is a great group of quilters and you will love being here - ask any questions and you will get dozens of answers and one I am sure will fit your bill...lol... again welcome to QCA.
Maureen, now you have our curiosity piqued. So how long has your "new to quilting" period been? Have you attempted any projects yet? What kind of quilting are you most interested in? Where do you live?
We're happy you've found us. Stop by to chat often!

Oh my! Thank you all so much....I live in North Las Vegas and my newbie status to quilting is about two months! Many years ago I made a quilt and haven't done anything since. That project wasn't the most perfect, but hey, I finished it...no real quilting involved, but I did manage to "tie" the corners of each block!
I have 10" squares right now, and I will be putting them together...I may get adventurous and cut and piece a few of them..of course then I will have to figure out how to adjust for the added seam. I will check out some of the other forums...thanks for that advice...
Looking forward to chatting with all of you!
Maureen, if you get a chance, check out some of the videos on QNN. There are some good beginning quilting series there.
Welcome, Maureen. Hope you enjoy this site.

Welcome Mo! There is tons of info here and it seems to be never ending. LOL There are such wonderful people here with a lot of knowledge and they are always willing to help when they can. I just can not say enough positive about the people and this place. I am fairly new here and I can barely keep up with everyone. LOL Enjoy, you will not be disappointed you joined.
