Jacy,

I make about 3 home made Christmas cakes 2 for us and 1 for work, i also make my own mincemeat in about September/October so easy to make and tastes so much better than the stuff that you buy in jars.

lots of love

Hmmm....well, as you look thought he pictures and ideas, and find something you like, put the mouse over the top left of the picture. It will say repin. Click on that. It will take you to where you make your board. Name your board to anything you like. I have such as quilt storage idea, food...yummy, critters, Christmas craft ideas, dislikes, my style, such as that. Then this creates your boards. you can add to them as you find other items that would fit the board names. Check out my boards and that will give you ideas. I think you would search under Sukochi Lee.  Try that.

Frances:
Sukochi does this differ from how you celebrate

Back in my younger days, I put up a Christmas tree in every room. Usually had 8 trees. Of different themes. Too old for all that now. Would put them up on Thanksgiving Day and they would come down on New Years Eve. I was raised to believe that leaving a tree up into the new year was unlucky. However, there are different thoughts on that. We never had much family for celebrating. Jim and I, now, rarely even put up much in the way of decorations and don't make a special meal for Christmas Day. I used to have a Mexican Dinner, all home made foods, for Christmas Eve. That too has gone by the way side. It is just not fun to do all that work when there is no one to do it for. I still make goodies for the neighbors, trash hauler and mailman.  But, try not to do any extra baking for us. We sure do not need the calories. Guss you could define our Holiday season with a big Bah Humbug.

Go to www.pinterest.com and check out the crafts section.  Lots of great ideas.  My granddaughter and I whipped up one of the wristlet key chains in about 10 mins this afternoon.  Really neat gift idea.

Frances

Your menu is very similiar to mine.  Only thing is I do mashed potatoes and we always have to have macaroni and cheese.  We don't do any of the puddings though.   I used to love mince pie but haven't had one in years.

Like some of the others my Christmas has been scaled way back.  some years I go for the decorations but most years I don't bother.  Last year we invited another couple to share our dinner otherwise I would have had DH barbque a steak or something.  He likes turkey but small birds are hard to find.  ditto on the desserts.  I love pie and will have "slivers" until its gone.
