I discovered an easier way to join my binding strips without having to draw a 45 angle line.  Instead,  I use the Fons&Porter pink triangle trimmer!  It is way more fun than drawing a line and faster too.  Place strips perpendicular as in this photo and use rotary cutter.  Pin  all joints and take to the machine to sew.  It is that easy.  This can also be done with any quilting ruler, but it isn't as compact.  I find it is less cumbersome to use this pink triangle trimmer.  I am just a happy buyer of this item :-)

Mary, great tip, you should send it in to Fons and Porter for a magazine subscription if they use your tip on line.  Wonder if they know this ruler works that way??

Mary, love your tip.  I will definitely try it, although I already know I'm going to love it.  I agree with Marie, you should send it in to F & P!

I just did as you gals suggested, and sent tip to Fon's and Porter.  It would be terrific to get a free year of magazine, because my subscription is almost up :-)

I can't wait to either see it or read about it!

I wish my PBS channel would start showing them again...

That is too cool!  I'll have to do my next one using the pink one, so much more efficient!

Mary, great tip. I don't have the Fons and Porter pink trimmer but I tried my Sharon Hultren small Easy Angle and it works. I like this much better than drawing the line. Thanks and good luck with having the tip accepted by F&P.
