My dad's 50th birthday is coming up and I am wanting to making him a photo quilt. I have never done one before so I am clueless on how to do one.  I was wondering if there was a good book I could get that describes how to do one and had a nice pattern or two.

Thanks, Angela

You will want to get some of the printable fabric. Joann's carries it, or online.  As far as a pattern, it would depend on how complex you want to make the quilt. Most patterns with square blocks will work. Just use the printed photo as the center of the block. Even a log cabin would work, just make the center starting block larger.  If you go to Google and type in Photo Quilt Pattern you will find lots of ideas and free patterns to download.

It's a great project and you will have fun with it.
