one year when all the grass turned brown in seattle,   people paid lawn painters to come out and spray their lawns green.   looked like the leprechans had taken over.

Unlike your heat spells, we don't have near the humidity.  Dry heat is no where near as uncomfortable as humid heat.

Supposed to be getting some lightning storms this week too.  Hope they are not dry.  Dh has cut all the brush around the house and other buildings.

It seems like every day we hear of another big fire out west, so your DH is really smart to remove all "kindling."  I'll add you to the rain dance.  (clothed)

I don't need to worry much about clothing where we live.   Don't even have curtains on most of the windows.  Our only visitor yesterday was the neighbor's mules, and then the dog to heard them back.  The neighbor did come up the road too, but saw that his dog was handling the situation just fine, and he turned around and followed them home.
