I have used so many things to hold tools near my sewing machine but the coolest is an eye glass holder, works great for the stitch ripper scissors, ruler anything that is a little longer.  I found one that is a dress with sparkler love it. abd niw those tools are easy to reach,  I have a small round container that I use for other things like bobbinis.

I found a tutorial for a cute Hexie pincushion and tool holder.  Here's the link:  www.pennyshands.blogspot.com/2010/08/hexie-caddy-pincushion.html.

I'm planning to make mine a bit taller and maybe bigger around to HOLD MORE STUFF!

All the Craftsy BOM class will enjoy this.
