does seersucker work well as quilting faric, I bought several yards to make a robe, but then bought one already made. So I have alot of material

you can use most any fabric in a quilt. having said that, the seersucker i'm familiar with is thinner and may not be as easy to work with, and may not last as long as other fabrics, depending on how you're using it in a quilt. work it into a couple of blocks and see how you like it.
