i use one of those magnetic trays mechanics use to put my pins, needles & scissors in when we travel...this way i can piece in the car while he drives & i don,t have to worry about anything spilling out.i also use it while sitting on patio & quilting. i really love it!

Jen, that is an awesome tip - I had never even seen a magnetic traveling tray - but this is a good idea.  Thank you for telling us!

that's a great tip.  i use a clipboard with sandpaper glued to it and fabric glued on the back to keep it from slipping off my lap.   i'm going to try and magnetize the metal clip.

Great tip. I love doing my bindings while traveling. I just have a little zippered bag and, YES, I have spilled it a few times. LOL

The tray round? If so, I use this same tray for my pins that I use to pin quilts on the frame.

This is a great tip that you gave us. I never heard about magnetic travel tray. Whenever we were going for traveling I always forget to take some stuffs. So, This tip to store so many stuffs in just on tray will it be more useful for me.

Really true, It is very nice idea that can especially useful in traveling. Really Even I am using my travel tray for different purpose.
