Sheri A. Posted: Tue, Mar 13 2012 9:17 AM

I brought her home yesterday to join my Bernina 930 and my Janome 6600.  She weighs only 12# and shares feet with my 6600.  I needed a travel machine.  I plan to play with her today :)

Sherry, congratulations on the new arrival!  I love the idea of a lightweight travel machine!

Thanks everyone.  I tried out the stitches today and also compared the 1/4" seam with my 6600.  They each have the same 1/4" piecing foot and they measure up perfectly which is good since this will be my portable machine for classes, workshops, and retreats.  So far I'm REALLY liking this machine!

Glenda, my first project is piecing a Quilts for Kids charity quilt which I will machine quilt on my larger machine.

Janome 3160 QCD.  That is a pretty one.

That was smart to get one to share the specialty feet.

Nice choice, Sheri.
